Fantastic finds.

It's amazing the damage you could do in a lunch break, when you've mastered the art of speed shopping. Thankfully, I was able to weed through the racks upon racks of great stuff at H&M and come out on top... with only making a baby dent in my wallet.

First up was the skirt. Silky underneath with a shear overlay, this skirt is the perfect mix of dressy and practical. The length hits close to the knee, making it perfect for work or otherwise. Likewise, the draped front helps hide a tummy [SCORE]. Did I mention this was clearanced down to a measly $7!?

Second, was a great lightweight sweater. The coloring is fall-tastic and neutral enough to look great with all of my colored dress pants. The fine knit, makes it suitable for any season.

Planned accessory pairings: Chunky jeweled earrings (great options from Charlotte Russe - here and here)... with high heels or leggings and black boots.

Sweater -- Skirt (no longer available online, similar options here-$$$ and here-$)

What's cookin' good lookin'?

In addition to wardrobe revamping, fall is a time for a favorite American pastime and the good eats that accompany it.

Football Feast Favorites

Here are my Top 3 picks for Favorite Football Sunday Foods...and links to awesome recipes, if you aren't the 'winging it' type. Oh and speaking of winging, chicken wings [of course] receive honorable mention.

1. Pizza Pinwheels.... I found this recipe on Pillsbury's website and it seems easy enough. I plan to use regular pepperonis and perhaps skip the bell peppers.

2. Buffalo Chicken Dip... Frank's Redhot has a great recipe for this go-to dip. I typically just eyeball the ingredients; you can't really mess this one up.

3. Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers... This one has been on my list for a long time and I haven't had a chance to try it out yet. Join me in putting Betty Crocker's recipe to the test.

Life.

Your hair doesn't always need to be perfect.

Your clothes don't have to be the most expensive.

You don't have to hope to be every man's dream girl.

It's okay to wear two different shoes to work by mistake.

And it's okay to let go of things not for you... people, places, or things.

You don't have to have or do it all.

But having a positive attitude and the strength to persevere in even the darkest hours, will be a precursor to your happiness and success.

You write your own life.
